Privacy Policy

AdwaBook is operated by Gojjo Holding LLC ("AdwaBook," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use adwabook.com and app.adwabook.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

• When you claim a spot: your name, email, what kind of business you run, and roughly how many properties or jobs you have.
• Your account: name, email, and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash; we can't read them.
• Your books: the LLCs, properties, loans, transactions, categories, notes, and rules you add or import.
• Bank data through Plaid (if you connect a bank): account names, types, the last 4 digits of account numbers, balances, and transactions. Plaid gives us a secure access token, which we encrypt; we never receive your bank login.
• Statements you import: when you upload a PDF or CSV statement, we read the transactions out of it and save those. We don't keep the uploaded file itself. If our built-in reader doesn't know your bank and you choose Read with AI, that statement is sent to Anthropic's Claude to read it (see section 2).
• Your mobile number (only if you add one): used for login codes and the alerts you turn on.
• Technical data: basic server logs such as IP address, browser type, and time of request, used for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

• To run AdwaBook: sort transactions, learn your payees, and build your reports, Schedule E, and CPA exports.
• To keep your account secure and prevent abuse.
• To email you about your account, your free period, billing, and important AdwaBook updates. We only email you about AdwaBook.
• To answer support requests you send through Help, which go to the AdwaBook team by email.

Adwa sorts your transactions on our own servers using rules and what you've confirmed.

Read with AI: when you choose it for a statement our built-in reader doesn't know, the statement is sent to Anthropic to pull out the transactions, which we then check against the statement's own totals. Anthropic does not use it to train its models, and we don't keep the file.

Ask Adwa (AI assistant): only when you ask Ask Adwa a question, we send your question, your recent chat, and the parts of your books needed to answer it (such as property and LLC names, loan details, and matching transactions) to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI model. Anthropic processes it to generate the answer and does not use it to train its models. We never send bank logins or passwords. AI answers can be wrong and aren't tax or legal advice.

3. Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with:

• Plaid, when you choose to connect a bank. Plaid's handling of your data is covered by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
• Service providers who help us run AdwaBook, such as our hosting provider and email provider, only as needed to provide the service.
• Anthropic, our AI provider, only when you use Ask Adwa or choose Read with AI for a statement (see section 2).
• Twilio, our text message provider, to deliver login codes and alerts to your phone.
• Payment processors, once paid plans begin, to process your subscription. We don't store full card numbers.
• People you choose, such as your CPA, when you export or send a report yourself.
• Legal reasons, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or AdwaBook.
• A business transfer, if AdwaBook is sold or merged. This policy would continue to apply to your data.

4. Text messages

If you add your mobile number and agree to texts, we send login codes and the alerts you choose, such as missing-rent alerts and a Monday reminder. That's usually no more than about 6 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, and you can turn each alert off or remove your number anytime in Account & billing.

We never sell or share your mobile number or text message consent with anyone for marketing. Mobile information is shared only with Twilio to deliver the messages.

5. Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you logged in, and, if you choose "Trust this device," one that skips the texted code on that device for 30 days. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

6. How we protect it

• All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
• Passwords are hashed, and bank access tokens are encrypted.
• Our servers are firewalled, and only the AdwaBook team can access them.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.

7. Keeping and deleting your data

• We keep your data while your account is open.
• Delete anytime: Account & billing → Delete my account removes your LLCs, properties, transactions, rules, and bank connections, and tells Plaid to disconnect your banks.
• Deleted data may remain in our server backups for up to 30 days before it's gone for good.
• If you claimed a spot but never made an account, email us and we'll remove your signup.

8. Your choices

• Download your transactions as a CSV from Account & billing.
• Correct your information in the app, or ask us to.
• Disconnect a bank anytime from Connect a bank.
• Ask what we hold about you, or to delete it, by emailing support@adwabook.com. We'll reply within 30 days.

9. Children

AdwaBook is for adults running a business. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

10. Where your data is stored

AdwaBook runs on servers in the United States.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll email you or show a notice in the app first.
